This is Episode 55 and I’m Josh Newton
Welcome to the I’m Josh Newton show where it is all about putting your potential into practice.
In this episode I’m going to interview Mike Newman.
Mike is the managing editor of a website / newsletter / really awesome store called cool material. In this first part of the interview here we’re going to get some interesting insight into Mike’s story. I think this is a really cool kind of path and story of actually somebody who I would say is a bit of a specialist, even though I’m very much a generalist, I’m somebody who’s explorer lots of different things, It’s still going to be really interesting to hear about Mike’s story here as he’s actually had almost a singular focus but he’s explored lots of different avenues for turning that into a profession and he’s explored lots of different stuff. He’s tried different things but in the end he’s kind of kept this one thing as a really important part and this really kind of guiding thing that he wanted to do.
We also got into another interesting topic which was this idea of family Dynamics in figuring out what it is that you want to do. This wasn’t a topic that I really thought we would get into but it was pretty cool to just here Mike’s background and history and experience with that and kind of compare and contrast that to what mine was like as well. So I think it will be a great interview. I think you guys will get a lot of interesting stuff from it, a lot of interesting insights and hopefully it helps you as you’re working towards your journey of figure out what you want to do.
